A query on our social media showing a picture of Biggleswade Town's team of about 1951 surprised me, as perhaps the only HTFC connections in the picture were of our ex trainer George Oldham, and Canary's legend Ken Lawrence.
Whatever, the query related to Wader's reserve player Harry Raybould, whose career at Biggleswade lasted from about 1947 to about 1956. He also spent a short period playing for Potton in about 1953. The article disappeared from our social media before I could pass on these brief details to Harry's daughter.
I've found one match programme on ebay in which Harry appears: North Beds Charity Cup Final played on 28th April 1954, Potton 2 Arlesey Town 3. Harry was on the losing Potton side.
